Baby Steps to being foster/adoptive parents

I noticed that I have not updated my blog in some time! Sorry for you readers out there (if there are any)!!! So let me bring you up to speed on our progress, we had our 1st homevisit with our social worker. That day I WORKED my butt off with getting the house clean and it looked so great, she came in and we sat at the kitchen table the whole time!!!! I was alittle disappointed that she did not look around, but than I was glad that I did all that cleaning because it meant that our house was going to be REALLY clean for like a week :-)

She went over more of the documents that we need to get to her, she really wanted t know about the girls and their adoption stories on how they came to us and our relationships with their birthparents.

It was a good visit, we scheduled our other 3 visits, the last one on February 3rd so hopefully after that we will be that much closer to becoming licensed than the wait begins to being placed with a child.

So please continue being patient & staying along for the ride!!!
