Take $1.99 multiply that by 10 = 10 homeless men who are alittle bit warmer
Scratching your head and trying to figure out what I am talking about?!?!?! Well let me explain. We were at JcPenney Outlet yesterday and they had winter gear sets (hat,gloves&scarf) marked down on clearance for $1.99!!!!!!!!!!! What a GREAT deal!!!
We bought 10 and headed downtown to the Faith Mission Mens Shelter on 6th Street. Josh dropped me off at the door and before I could even walk inside some gentleman were asking for the donations. They were so appreciative and thanked me over & over again. I walked inside to drop off the rest and was just taken back about the amount of men who were inside...all crowed in one room watching T.V.
As I walked back to my warm car, the gentlemen outside were putting the scarves around their cold necks, the hats on their bald heads and the warm gloves on their chilly hands and they thanked me again and said, "God Bless You!!!".
I jumped back into the car with Josh and my two babies in the backseat, tears started to swell up and I realized how lucky I am.
The reason for this post is not to toot my own horn...it is to challenge others to do the same thing. If 10 people headed over to buy those winter sets and purchased 10, that would be 100 more men who would be just alittle bit warmer!!!!
