Helping a friend

A friend of mine sent me an e-mailing asking for help! She and her husband are interested in adopting for a second time. Below is some information regarding her family, if you need anymore information please let me know and I can put you in contact with the family. They are working with a local attorney here in town so they are "paper ready". Thanks everyone!!!!!

Please spread the word that we are hoping to adopt again!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Everyone, Can you please do us a HUGE favor and forward this email to everyone in your address book? We would like to spread the word to as many people as possible that we want to provide a loving, stable, Christian home to a baby. If you know of anyone who has made the difficult choice to place their baby(s) for adoption, please let them know about us. We are very excited about adding to our family! Thank you so very much for your help!

Sincerely, Ashley John and Janell Parker (and future big brother, Corey)

A higher power does have their hand in it!!!

When Josh and I thought about starting a ,we never thought that we would encounter roadblocks. Well after many years of unsuccessful tries and different treatments we both agreed that adoption was the route for us. When we were going thru all those difficult times we wondered why we were not able to have our own biological children ~ than we had the feeling that the reason was because we were MENT to adopt!!!!

After going thru all the adoption process and the highs and lows, I have started believing that their is a high power that has their hand in shaping our lives! We sit back and think how our spunky, ornery, silly, smart M just fell into our laps when our world and hearts where shattered when the first adoption fell thru. Once we were placed with her everyone would say how much she looks like Josh....which she really does. And than with A...we waited until M was over a year and than put an e-mail out just letting our family and friends know that we were interested in adopting again (think that we could not be so lucky to find another BM on our own) and a couple weeks later we get a call from my aunt about a situation. And beautiful, precious little A and her BM just fell, once again into our laps.

I truly believe that God is making those special babies out there for all these wonderful couples who are still waiting for their little miracles. People told us that after the first failed adoption and we did not want to hear it, but it is true!

We have many friends who have adopted and their children look just like them ~ freckles, red hair, exact nose, same eye color, same likes and dislikes, same personalities ~ you can not tell me that God does not have his hand in it!!!!

M & A where the 2 puzzle pieces that were missing from Josh and I. They just fit right into our little family and our extended family, we see little bits and pieces of us in their little personalities even though I did not give birth to them.

For all those couples out their who are waiting, I know how you are feeling. But please be patient and God will place your little blessing in your arms when you least expect it.

Christmas Miracle!!!!

Going down the adoption road ~ we have been blessed to have had the opportunity to meet some wonderful couples. Each one that we meet has a special place in our hearts. One awesome couple just got their Christmas miracle a couple of days ago. Jessica and her husband Jud where placed with a beautiful little baby girl (who resembles them) and we could not be more happier for them!!!!! Little Mira is a lucky girl to have such great parents and family! Welcome to the world Mira Eliza!!!!

Christmas Memories as a Child

We all have those memories from the holidays when we were younger that we will always cherish. Well one memory that I wanted to pass along to my children is something that my mother made for me and my brother and all the cousins in the family.

My mom was really crafty (well she still is) and she was always making things ~ baby doll outfits, halloween costumes and these awesome sucker holders.

As we got older the sucker holders kinda made their way to the back of the closet and never came out, but when we were younger I remember using the holder as a count down till Christmas. Each day you remove a sucker until you get to the very bottom and once you do the bell rings and Christmas is here!!!!

What a good thing to pass along to my daughters and me being able to tell them my memory of the sucker holders.

Thanks mom for making such a lasting memory in my head with these awesome, memorable sucker holders!!!!!

I've come to realize.......

I have come to realize that my house will never be clean and the kitchen counter may never be seen until midnight.

I have come to realize that using paper plates and cups are better than washing dishes because who has time for that.

I have come to realize that I may step on a little toy or in the middle of the night here a scary little voice coming from the toy box.

I have come to realize that almost everyday after dinner I need to scrub down the kitchen walls because when Marissa is done, she is literally done, plate goes flying.

I have come to realize that I may not get a shower everyday, or may not get one until late at night.

I have come to realize that eating is the last thing on my list...will I eat breakfast today?? lunch?? or just dinner.

I have come to realize that watching adult TV is never really going to happen again.

But what I do realize is that Josh and I are so blessed to have 2 little, healthy, beautiful girls in our lives. When we see their smiles or the laughter coming from one....we know how lucky we are and those other things do not matter.

Why Mommy?????

This morning M woke up and we headed downstairs for some breakfast ~ she requested Bologna and "yogoat" (yogurt). As she was eating I gave her a cup of milk. As I opened the fridge to get myself something to drink she spots the apple juice.

"Juice mommy"..I tell her "no" because she already has milk and than I hear "Why mommy???".....WHAT did my 20 month old just ask me why she could not have juice??? She just amazes us everyday!
