Today we took Marissa outside to play in her first snow. She was not to sure about it! We think she had fun, well let's just say she did not cry and we even saw a smile!!! What she did not like was when the dogs would run up to her with snow on their face and try to give her a kiss...alittle cold!
As I sit here writing this it is so hard for me to believe that our baby is 11 months old. This weekend last year we got the phone call from her birthmother. I can still remember that day so clear in my mind. The phone rang and Josh answering and him pacing around the house. He spoke to her for about 10 minutes and then from there on till February 16th, we spoke to her weekly. It is just amazing how things work out. About 2 weeks before her phone call we got the call from the adoption agency whom we had been working with informing us that the birthmother who we were matched up with since September was keeping the baby. We were so down in the ditches and than we got this amazing phone call!!!!!
It is just mind blowing how fast this year has gone by, it seems like I keep on saying that, but it is so true!!!!
We are busy right now getting everything ready for Marissa's party. We almost have everything planned out, just a couple more little things.
It is amazing how much can happen in a year. I am sure your heart flutters with the memory of that first phone call. I am so happy for you all!!
