Trying to figure out why that hurdle was placed in your path.....

I was thinking about some of the things that Josh & I have been through as a couple, at the time we could not figure out why it happened to us or what the meaning was.....and now I am realizing why those difficult things were placed infront of us. Because with out those heartbreaks or scary times, we would not be were we are today with the beautiful things in our lives!

Here are some of those moments:

1) Deciding to make a "long distance" relationship work while Josh was in college = to a very happy 7 years of marriage.

2) Making the scary decision to move to Cbus with no job so Josh could go to law school = we are still standing, together and Josh is one very happy attorney.

3) The last place that we lived together got broken into and we felt SOOOO violated = to us building a home in a wonderful part of town and having some AMAZING neighbors.

4) Struggling to have a baby for 5 years....meds, ultrasounds, surgery's = to being blessed with 2 healthy baby girls through adoption

5) Getting our hearts broken when our first adoption match fell through = to getting a call about 3 weeks later about M.

6) Having gone down the emotional, scary, unknown journey of adoption = has turned into meeting the most amazing families that has become more like family to us. We have met 2 SUPER birth mothers and once again, have been blessed with 2 GORGEOUS (if I may say so) little girls.

So if you are in a hard time in your life right now, just remember there is a reason why that hurdle has been placed in front of you...looking back, you will realize why it was placed there!!!
