This is a wonderful blog to follow...they are doing AMAZING things for the people & orphans of Africia. Just because these children are not in our back yards does not mean that we can turn our backs and act like nothing is happening to them!!!

A year ago today!!!
A year ago today we were in the parking lot of a restaurant nervous as ever. Every women that would walk by the car we wondered if that was "her". Finally the time came that we were supposed to be meeting this potential birthmother, our social worker and my aunt...so we walked inside.
There for the first time we met this amazing, strong and beautiful women! We had an amazing dinner and afterwards she gave us our first pictures of our daughter A.
From that point on our relationship grew stronger & stronger and we were no longer strangers.
Three months later....A welcomed the world and we were there to witness her take her first breaths.
A year later....we have an amazing relationship with T and would not chage a thing. As A grows up she will know who T is and will be surrounded with so much love.
You never know what can happen when your heart is open....

Things may work out
Okay....before I had children I always said that I would not work and stay home with them. Well once the children came and I was in the real world I realized that I was not able to stop working and I had to place them in daycare (with our sister-in-law).
Well I am thinking about making a HUGE change in my life. I am wanting to stop working and watch children in my home. I know, I know....some people may wonder how I am going to do it and what I am giving up. All those thoughts have gone through my head once or twice but I know I am making the right decision for myself and the girls.
I put an ad in the local newspaper in May and I had like 4 families call but none of those panned out and I wondered if this was the right thing for my family and started to freak out alittle. There were days that I was sad and trying to find the answer, thinking that my dream of staying home with my girls was never gonna happen and I had to keep telling families that I never really knew when I could start. Now with the past week I have had a couple of families call and they sound pretty promising!
So I am feeling MUCH, MUCH better and I feel like this is what I am supposed to be doing and that things are starting to work out for me and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and no longer just see darkness.
Please continue spreading the word that I am looking for children to watch and keep me in your thoughts!

I'm a big girl now!!
A is 8 months old....8 months!!! Where have these months gone?? Let me fill you in on what she has been doing ~ sleeping through the NIGHT, using a sippy cup, eating yogurt and loving it, rides in the front seat of the stroller, sits in a highchair, holds her own bottle, rolling all over the place, goes from tummy to sitting up and most important CRAWLING! Watch out world...A is growing up :-(
Panties, Potty and hopefully no more Pampers!!!
Well we are in the thick of things...M has been wearing panties for the past week and has done an AMAZING job. Today she did not have one accident. I must admit, this whole potty training thing really has not been that hard. The sitter has been working with her as well, so once she comes home she stays in her panties until bedtime.
SO we will keep our fingers crossed and hope that we will just be buying Pampers for one little person!

Reece's Rainbow
I am not sure who all reads my blog, but I came across this site and I wanted to take a second to share it. This is an organization that has children in eastern Europe, who are in the different stages of HIV and tries to find them their perfect homes where they can receive the proper medical care and continue to live a very healthy life.
Like I said above, I am not sure who reads this blog, but if one person gets that tug at their heartstrings and have been thinking about the miracle of adoption and looks more into this organization, than I did my part.
If these sweet children are not adopted by a certain age, they have to be put out on the streets....and the streets are no place for a child to grow up! Please help spread the word about these adorable children looking for their forever homes!!
