The words of M

I wanted to try and capture some of the funny things that has been coming out of M's mouth....sometimes we look at her and think "what is she going to be like in 2 years?" Because the words that come out of her mouth just blows us away.

Like any toddler they like to ask questions and ask "why??". M has started asking alot of "why" questions..."why can't I go outside?", "why can't I have a cookie"? I try to stay away from the "because I say so", so I just play with her and go along with her game ~ "why can't I go outside", (me) "because it is cold" (M) "why?" (me) "because we live in Ohio and it is winter time" and this can go one and one, but now she will ask "why" and before we can even say our answer, she quickly says "cause!!!".

We have heard her cursing a couple of time and we try to correct her and tell her to say "awww boo" instead of the bad word. So now when she drops something she will say, "awww shit, awwwww BOOOO", she is recorrecting herself, so we must be doing something right :-)

As she quickly approaches the terrible 2's she is becoming less of a great listener and have made plenty of stops in her time out chair. We have her sit down for 1 mintue and when she is done we tell her why she was there. Well now when she is doing something wrong and we go to correct her or tell her to go to timeout, she will quickly get up and say, "I help you, I go time out" and will run to her time out chair...so now is it effective if you own childs puts themselves in timeout???

M as figured how to open the fridge and just loves that she can just help herself to WHATEVER she wants...so yesterday I went and bought a fridge lactch, so we will no longer hear the fridge slam open and little feet come running to us holding a half gallon of milk. Well lastnight we were standing in the kitchen and she runs over, goes to open the fridge (it is not opening) she looks back at us and say, "AWWWWWWWWWWW NOOOOOOOO, it is broken" with her hands up in the air!!!

She is so silly, smart, curious, sweet, loving and we just keep trying to stay one step ahead of her...and I do admit sometimes that is HARD work!
