Friday was the 2nd anniversary of the finalization of M's adoption. We try to make a really big deal out of it because it was when we "officially" became a family. The very first year we got a cake from a local bakery that everyone raved on and on about, and after eating it I can see why.
So we decided to make it a tradition and every year get a cake for the girls from this bakery, celebrate the day ( however they want) and spend the evening with friends & family enjoying the delicious cake and ice cream.
As we were putting M down for bed, I bent down and kissed her forehead, said, "I love you baby, Happy Adoption Day!" and M says, "your welcome mommy!"
